Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is TabCycle?

TabCycle is a Chrome extension that lets you cycle through open tabs automatically and schedule tabs to open at specific times and days.

Getting Started

Use the options page to add your desired URLs and set the day, time, and auto-close duration for each scheduled tab. You can also open tabs immediately.

Can I use it on multiple devices?

You can use the extension on your desktop, laptop (Mac or Windows) or Chromebook.

The extension is compatible with other Chromium-based browsers as well, such as Edge. It cannot run on Android or IOS.

Does TabCycle collect any data?

No. TabCycle runs entirely in your browser and does not collect or transmit any personal data.

Is there a limit to how long the cycle interval can be?

No, there is no limit. Feel free to make the interval as long as you need!

When my browser window is in fullscreen, the toolbar will appear when switching tabs.

Unfortunately, that's a property of browsers like Chrome and Edge that TabCycle cannot change. The toolbar should disappear after a few seconds when switching to a new tab.

Can videos such as YouTube videos remain in fullscreen when cycling?

Unfortunately, no. Browsers like Chrome and Edge will automatically exit fullscreen when switching to a different tab for security purposes.

You can put the video in theater mode to increase the video's size, or increase the webpage's zoom.
